HALO Laser
Until the development of the hybrid fractional laser (HFL), our patients had to choose between an ablative treatment with longer downtime and a non ablative treatment with no downtime but with far less effectiveness (requiring multiple treatments).
An ablative laser is considered the most effective treatment on the market to improve signs of aging by removing the outer layers of damaged skin, triggering the body’s healing mechanism to increase collagen production and reveal healthier, tighter skin. The main disadvantage to a deep ablative laser treatment is a fairly long recovery period of up to two weeks.
A non-ablative laser heats the outer layers of the skin but does not remove them resulting in little or no downtime but requiring several treatments to achieve treatment goals.
By combining both lasers, HALO laser therapy provides a previously impossible ability to deliver separate fractional laser treatments to the epidermis and dermis at the same time. HALO offers results that are more similar to ablative laser treatments but with very little downtime for the best of both worlds.
